It is somewhat alarming to hear that Ubuntu 18.04 is approaching, and snaps are not working on certain common hardware/driver configurations because the devs don’t have access to machines with the correct equipment. I’m sure many of us have old bits and bobs lying around which could be put to good use by the developers and testers.
Rummaging through my things, I have an old nvidia GT210 card which was working fine when I last used it. I’m happy to post it to a UK address if it will be helpful for anyone involved in getting snaps working on 18.04, Arch or elsewhere. It might be helpful, albeit I’m not sure if it is supported by the current crop of nvidia drivers.
Is any other equipment needed? Any other volunteers for donations?
