Hi. I messed around with the snap refresh
and revert
feature on the gnome snaps that comes preinstalled on Ubuntu 18.04
Description of bug:
There is no theme when running the gnome-calculator snap app. It is still possible to interact with the program.

When gnome-calculator is launched via terminal, the following error is shown:
(gnome-calculator:31750): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:1:0: Failed to import: Error opening file /snap/communitheme/current/share/themes/Communitheme/gtk-3.0/gtk.css: Permission denied
(see screenshots)
Steps to reproduce:
The setup: Ubuntu 18.04 (try without installing) with communitheme installed ( sudo snap install communitheme
) and enabled.
- Do a refresh:
sudo snap refresh
- Install communitheme:
sudo snap install communitheme
- Apply communitheme from the login screen.
- Login and launch gnome-calculator or gnome-system-monitor
I did close the lid of the laptop but I doubt it’s related to that.
I know you guys are working on theming with snaps, so I thought it might be a good idea to let you know about this.
