I run Ubuntu on several computers, and there is more than 1 month that I see the issue. I have to set again my language because the default is set to English and mine is emoved (from Firefox: Settings → Language → Add a new one). Again today (from 142.0.1 to 143.0.0).
Is this issue known from other Snap users ? and by Firefox team ?
I confirm that this happens - here on Ubuntu 24.04.3 with the latest Firefox upgrade to version 144.0 and also with upgrades before. In Firefox > Settings > Language and Appearance > Language it says “German”, but all menues are set to default English. Reset does not change language back.
Now I found the reason: Even though automatic updates of extensions was enabled, I had to manually update the language extension for “German”: Firefox > Extensions and Themes > Languages > click wheel > Check for Updates
Did anyone report it yet so the maintainers can do something about it ?
No I did not report to Mozilla because it involves making a account on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org I hope that Snapcraft has a better access to them.
I found a bugzilla thread for all Snapcraft issues, the locale bug seems not reported yet.
