Fedora 33 upgrade - cgroup v2 error when running snaps

Just upgraded to Fedora 33 and existing snap for Authy fails

WARNING: cgroup v2 is not fully supported yet, proceeding with partial confinement
(authy:39535): Gtk-WARNING **: 06:19:28.150: cannot open display: :0

I tried removing Authy and Snapd entirely then starting over. Reinstall of snapd works fine, from what I see. However, when I attempt to reinstall authy it seems to work but I saw something about “gnome-3-28-1804” but didn’t capture the message. I looked through journalctl and found

“Mounting Mount unit for gnome-3-28-1804, revision 145…”

Fedora 33 is on Gnome 3.38, is it somehow getting the wrong version because this was an upgrade and having a conflict?

Thanks in advance for your assistance

assuming fc33 uses wayland, see:

(note that the cgroup v2 warning is harmless and has nothing to do with your app not starting)

Thanks for that. Does look like it was related to Wayland - seems the upgrade to F33 reenabled Wayland which I’d disabled previously. Moving back to X11 also cleared up a couple other issues I was having since the upgrade.

Appreciate the quick response.
