Using snapcraft 8.14.5 from Ubuntu 26.04

The desktop extensions historically come after the core releases. The core has to be stabilized, then the Desktop team has to make the gnome content snap, then they add a gnome extension.
If you want to be notified, I’d either keep an eye on Snapcraft’s release notes or subscribe to this placeholder issue on Github.
