Errors with foobar2000 snap?

Hi, I installed the foobar2000 via snap on Debian and it worked at first, after i rebooted I got the error

ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.

anyone know what this means? and more importantly how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!

Try:

snap install gnome-3-28-1804

If it continues to not work, can you paste the output of the following commands:

snap version
snap list
snap connections foobar2000
snap connections gnome-3-28-1804
snap changes

when i tried to install gnome i got:

$ snap install gnome-3-28-1804
snap “gnome-3-28-1804” is already installed, see ‘snap help refresh’
user@media:~$ foobar2000
ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.

so for the others i got:

$ foobar2000
ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.

Did this command really produce no output?

it informed me that it was already installed?:

$ snap install gnome-3-28-1804
snap “gnome-3-28-1804” is already installed, see ‘snap help refresh’

since it said try refresh I did and that gave me:

$ snap refresh gnome-3-28-1804
snap “gnome-3-28-1804” has no updates available

No, I’m curious whether the connections command produced any output when you ran it.

My apologies, I misread.
Yes, I just retried now to be sure, it literally didnt output anything.

That’s very odd indeed. Can you try this command:

snap connect foobar2000:gnome-3-28-1804 gnome-3-28-1804:gnome-3-28-1804

and see if foobar2000 works then (or at least makes it further)?

it seems not:

$ snap connect foobar2000:gnome-3-28-1804 gnome-3-28-1804:gnome-3-28-1804
error: snap “gnome-3-28-1804” has no slot named “gnome-3-28-1804”
$ foobar2000
ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.

ah sorry I missed earlier that these snaps are apparently broken, can you remove them and reinstall them with:

snap remove gnome-3-28-1804 gtk-common-themes
snap install gnome-3-28-1804 gtk-common-themes

and try again?

That got it!!!
Thank you soooooooooooo much!
