Data Gathering for Issues Involving Snaps

I’m a complete snap newbie, wearing my systems administrator hat.

Yesterday I had a problem that may have involved snap’s automatic update feature. Or maybe it was a buggy app store misusing snap. Or user error. Or a problem with the app installed via snap. Or its packaging as a snap. Or something else I haven’t thought of.

I didn’t even try to gather information at the time for a potential bug report - just got the system back into a sane state.

So here I am today asking if you’ve got anything like a “gather everything for a possible bug report” script, or a guide to debugging issues with snaps/the overall snap system, intended for a generalist that lacks expertise on either the snap-packaged app involved or snap itself.

(In the meanwhile, I put a hold on automatically installing updates of the offending snap.)
