I have Ubuntu Core 18 running on a RaspberryPi in a home automation project, one of the things that I need to do is to perform certain actions at specific time of the day.
I assume Ubuntu Core does not have crontab, so what are the plans for having such a functionality available ?
I’m not sure if you mean from within a snap or not. As a system administrator of an Ubuntu Core device you can create and use timers. As a snap packager, you can have a timer on a service (see also the timer string format docs).

yep, timers did it for me, though what could have been done using just 4 lines in a crontab required me to create 8 different files (.service and .timer)
