Has now appeared…

Thanks for update.

Sure! Just FYI, this delayed tarballs have been a consistent issue in the last couple of weeks. We’re trying to set up builds from the Git checkout in case that doesn’t come back to normal; Meanwhile some couple of days delays for the snap release can be epected.

Many thanks - much appreciated…

The dropdown box at Install chromium on Linux | Snap Store (and other Snaps) has stopped working using both Firefox & Chromium browsers… is there a known reason / issue??

Nope. At the bottom of the page there must be a link like ā€œreport an issue with this pageā€.

At any rate snap info chromium or firefox will show all the information that the box would give you.

Thanks - dropdown has started working again

131.0.6778.69 is available

For info: https://alien.slackbook.org/blog/chromium-source-tarball-availability/ I have therefore created a script which fetches the needed stuff from git and packs that into a ā€œchromium-$VERSION.tar.xzā€ tarball. You will find it in the ā€œbuildā€ directory and it’s called ā€œfetch-chromium-release.shā€œ.

Thanks - dropdown has started working again

Glad to hear that!

131.0.6778.69 is available

Unfortunately not from https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com yet.

I have therefore created a script which fetches the needed stuff

That’s very nice, given that even stable releases tarballs are being so much delayed, maybe I’ll borrow it. (:

Script was from AlienBob (Slackware) - not me…

FYI: VoidLinux is using: distfiles=ā€œhttps://chromium-tarballs.distfiles.gentoo.org/chromium-${version}.tar.xzā€
