This is indeed a different case from yarn, in that its main purpose is actually to manipulate the Ubuntu system itself in arbitrary ways, including the manipulation of pretty much every package management system on behalf of the user.
The software itself seems fine and I would encourage to package it and distribute it, but it feels slightly inappropriate to convey that as a classic snap, at least at this stage.
I suggest we wait a bit and learn more about how classic snaps are used and interact with the system, and come back into this.
