Hi,
We’d like to request Classic confinement for Termius https://www.termius.com/
Termius is a cross-platform SSH, Mosh, and Telnet client.
It works on Linux, Windows, or macOS, as well as any Android or iOS mobile device.
Also, Termius is a complete command-line solution.
It has Local Terminal and SFTP features.
To make Local Terminal working, our application should get access to run system applications and full access to the file system. We need to provide users with the same experience as any default system terminals.
SFTP lets you transfer files over secure SSH channels.
Our application provides a possibility to transfer users’ local files to remote devices.
So we need full access to the file system as a file manager as well. Currently, a user has to first start an ssh connection to his local machine to browse the local files. As you can see it’s not a very convenient way.
We can’t provide these features for our Linux users because of the snap Strict mode restrictions.
We have two snaps published: termius-app and termius-beta.
We don’t use --beta channels and use separated application for our Beta builds.
That’s why we would like to have the --classic mode for both of them.
It would be just great if you can make it happen and all our Linux users will benefit from it.
If you have any questions or you need any info required for you to make this decision just let us know.
Thanks in advance and we are looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Termius team
