I’m excited to announce the release of Simple Image Converter v1.5 on the Snap Store!
This version is a major milestone for the project, focusing on two main pillars: Internationalization and Hardened Security.
“Simple Image Converter” is a fast, 100% offline desktop application designed for batch conversion of images and documents. In a world of “cloud-everything,” I built this with a Privacy-by-Design approach: your files never leave your computer.

Multilingual Support: The UI is now available in 6 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese (BR).

Expanded Format Support: In addition to standard images, we now handle XPS and OXPS document conversions to PDF or raster formats.

Note for External Drives: As the snap uses strict confinement for your security, if you need to process files on a USB stick or secondary drive, don’t forget to run: sudo snap connect simple-image-converter:removable-media
