Call for help: maintenance of the musescore snap

I built it locally and can replicate the error. I think if you run snapcraft clean you will run into it as well.

I didn’t even have Snapcraft installed; I only installed it to build MuseScore.

That’s why this situation is so strange.

The notorious case of software working on your machine but not others

Reading this, the problem seems related to the lack of the zlib1g-dev library. Maybe it works because you already have it installed in the system you used to build the snap @Kyuyrii , and maybe we should add it to the build-packages

Let’s see it that solves it.

OK, the builds went OK and they were uploaded to the latest/beta channel.

May I ask you te test it @tbss @tsugu-sk & @Kyuyrii ? (I don’t have an Ubuntu installation right now)

I installed and started it, everything seems normal here.

It seems to work well, I also wanted to test the sound but to download a sample from MuseScore you need to start a free trial and input a credit card. No thanks.

can i to help too?

thanks, musescore was the reason for to left out ubuntu core desktop

You can help by going to the App Center and installing the beta version of MuseScore and testing its actual functionality. I’m sadly not a musician to test anything more advanced than placing notes on the grid.

i forgot to say that i installed before comment

i’m not advanced but yeah, i compose intermediate songs

I’ve uploaded a new version to latest/beta with some changes regarding the printing interface in use (from cups-control to cups).

Can you install it and try to print something from MuseScore?

Thanks!
