Auto-connection request for u2f-devices in authd-msentraid

Hello!

We recently added support for FIDO2 security keys to the authd MS Entra ID broker, and we would like to request auto-connection of the u2f-devices interface.

Here is the filled request template:

name: authd-msentraid

description: authd broker for Microsoft Entra ID

snapcraft: https://github.com/canonical/authd/blob/main/snap/variants/msentraid/snapcraft.yaml

upstream: https://github.com/canonical/authd

upstream-relation: Canonical maintains both the upstream project and the snap

plugs:
  u2f-devices:
    interface: u2f-devices
    request-type: auto-connection
reasoning: Entra ID users whose default MFA method is a FIDO2 security key (for
example, a YubiKey) should be able to log into their Linux system out of
the box, without having to manually connect the interface first

This request has been added to the queue for review by the @reviewers team.

Hello @nooreldeenmansour

Give the reasoning provided, the request sound reasonable, so +1 from my side for granting auto-connection of the u2f-devices interface to the authd-msentraid snap!

Hello,

I agree with @yomonokio, this access is reasonable and expected. This is a +1 from me as well for granting the authd-msentraid snap auto-connection for the u2f-devices interface. Thanks!

+2 votes for, 0 against, granting auto-connection of the u2f-devices interface to the authd-msentraid snap. This is now live!
