Hello,
We are working on new versions of OpenSearch Snap, There is new artifacts opensearch-charmed and opensearch-chiseled which needs the same auto-connect permissions as the opensearch snap. This includes:
- log-observe
- mount-observe
- system-observe
Both snaps also define a custom plug:
sys-fs-cgroup-service:
interface: system-files
read:
- /sys/fs/cgroup/system.slice/snap.opensearch-charmed.daemon.service
and for chiseled snap
sys-fs-cgroup-service:
interface: system-files
read:
- /sys/fs/cgroup/system.slice/snap.opensearch-chiseled.daemon.service
The snap can be found as follows:
- OpenSearch charmed snap can be found here
- OpenSearch chiseled snap can be found here
PS: We have a separate request to create tracks.
Thank you
Please note that this is a duplicate approval since we are adding same charm with couple of plugins removed. You can find bellow the previous approved requests:
- Auto connect for OpenSearch Snap request
- Auto connect for Charmed OpenSearch Snap request
The new snaps are opensearch-charmed and opensearch-chiseled and the required autoconnections are
hardware-observe:
request-type: auto-connection
log-observe:
request-type: auto-connection
mount-observe:
request-type: auto-connection
system-observe:
request-type: auto-connection
sys-fs-cgroup-service:
request-type: auto-connection
intel-qat:
request-type: auto-connection
Hey,
as it is previously granted and these snaps are just replacement of the original snap, it makes sense to grant these interfaces to these snaps.
+1 form my end to grant auto-connection to these interfaces
- hardware-observe
- log-observe
- mount-observe
- system-observe
- intel-qat
- sys-fs-cgroup-service
Hello, given the context of the previous requests, I agree with @0xnishit here. This is a +1 from me for granting auto-connection for the following interfaces to the opensearch-charmed and opensearch-chiseled snaps:
- hardware-observe
- log-observe
- mount-observe
- system-observer
- sys-fs-cgroup-service
- intel-qat
+2 for, 0 against granting opensearch-charmed and opensearch-chiseled snaps auto-connection to the requested interfaces. The publisher is vetted. This is now live
