I’ve been trying to diagnose an issue that some users of the Audacity snap are encountering when using revision 910 (currently in edge), which is based on core20. The scenario requires alsa to be connected. Issue is they seemingly cannot record from their alsa sound devices in revision 910, but rolling back to 857 (in stable) which was based on core18 everything works correctly. I have tried, but I cannot replicate on my own installation.
There’s a lot of attempts to work out the reason by getting the users to paste some diagnostic info in the GitHub issue, so I’ll link there for all the gory stuff.
